Congratulations to Sabrina for being the winner of the title of Beauty Boss of the Month, after being nominated by Gilmor Bridgend!

After congratulating her on being a winner, we asked Sabrina a few questions about herself so that we could all get to know her better...

How did you get into Nails?

I left school with no idea on what to do with my future and got myself a beauty apprenticeship at a local Salon. I could barely hold a nail file in the beginning and struggled with shaping nails. Skip forward 10 years and here I am with my own lil biz wizzing through all kinds of shapes!!

What was your most surprising part of the job?

I was most surprised about how quickly a day in the life of a beauty tech passes by. Also how a quick 10 minute pot noodle lunch break can fill you up for a full day and endless iced coffees keep you going haha. I won’t mention my secret snack draw.

What has been your favourite client request?

My favourite client’s request has got to be a very tough one but the crazier the nail art idea, the better! I love being able to challenge myself, so you will very rarely hear the words ‘no’ coming out of my mouth.

What are your favourite techniques?

My favourite techniques would be all techniques - Yet again the more challenging the better.

Talk us through your average day.

My average day consists of arriving into work, turning all switches on and putting Kiss FM on my Alexa (Perri Kiely and Jordan Banjo presenting in the mornings are just the besttttt). Client cards at the ready and go go go, let the magic happen.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

I have always been a creative kind of gal, so I can find inspiration in almost anything - I loooove when clients bring in their own inspired pics and ask me to recreate my own version of it.

What advice would you give with others?

If I could give some advice I would say to be confident, be YOURSELF and just go for it - Remember that you can always use a nail wipe and start again. You should always be your number one fan and never compare yourself to others as everyone has to start somewhere. Never stop learning and pushing yourself.

What are your hopes and plans for the future?

My plans for the future are to keep getting better and making sure I stay on top of all the latest trends. Bigger things to come for Sabrina’s Beauty!!
